One of the premier Kentucky Derby preps each year is the $400,000 Fountain of Youth (G2) at Gulfstream Park. The 1 1/16-mile race for three-year-old Thoroughbreds has produced the likes of Kentucky Derby winners Forte and Dornoch.
Inaugurated in 1945, the Fountain of Youth has called to the top sophomores in Florida each year. It is one of the Sunshine State's stepping-stones to the Triple Crown, which starts with the Holy Bull Stakes in January and concludes with the rich Florida Derby, worth $1 million and run either the last weekend in March or the first weekend in April. The Fountain of Youth card includes eight other stakes races as well, topped by the Kentucky Oaks prep, the Grade 2 Davona Dale Stakes, and the $200,000 Gulfstream Park Mile. It is one of the best betting cards of the winter.
Last year MyRacehorse owners had access to the MyRacehorse lounge located within the South Beach Pavilion, which featured a premium lunch buffet, and access to a private bar. Guests also enjoyed interactive activities for MyRacehorse prizes. The weekend also included a behind-the-scenes tour of a top-tier training facility, offering a unique look at the world of horse racing along with a chance to connect with MyRacehorse trainers and stable members.
